SA Clean Car Wash (“we”, “the wash”, “the bay”) respects the information you share with us. This privacy policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and through our car washing and detailing services, why we use it, how we keep it, who we may share it with, and how you can reach us. It is written for a Cape Town car wash business and is meant to be read in everyday language.

We collect only what we need for a clear wash and booking purpose, we use it for that purpose, and we take reasonable steps to keep it accurate and secure. If you are under eighteen, a parent or caregiver should review this policy with you before you send us a form or book a service on your behalf.
When you use a contact form, a newsletter field, or a booking note, we typically receive your name, email address, a message, and any wash details you choose to send, such as vehicle type, preferred day, or package. If you phone the desk, we may write down a callback number and a short summary so we can reply without asking you to repeat yourself. If you visit the bay, we may record a first name, vehicle registration if you share it, and a time so the person on the desk knows who to expect.
We may also collect technical data such as browser type, a general location derived from an internet address, and pages visited. We do not use that information to build advertising profiles. If you do not want your face in gallery images, tell the attendant before the wash begins.
We do not ask for health records, identity numbers, or payment card details through this website. If a wash later involves a fee, that payment is handled separately and we do not store full card numbers on this site. We do not require an account to read tips or look at the gallery. We use your details to answer wash enquiries, place you on a waiting list when the bay is full, send wash notes if you subscribe, keep the website secure, and meet legal duties such as keeping basic business records. We may also use a vehicle description you volunteer so the team prepares the right cloths and package. We do not sell personal information. We do not rent mailing lists. We do not trade emails for advertising credits.
If you subscribe to wash notes, we send a short letter a few times a year about care tips, polish advice, and seasonal cleaning. You can ask us to stop at any time by writing to [email protected] with the word “unsubscribe” and the address you used. We will remove that address from the next send. Transactional replies about a wash you asked to book are not marketing, and we may still write once to confirm a time or a cancellation.
We may share information with hosting providers, email tools, and professional advisers who process it only on our instructions and only for the work we give them. A team member on the bay may see the names of people expected that hour so packages and cloths can be planned. We do not publish private email addresses in tips. We may disclose information if a law, a court, or a regulator requires it, or if we need to protect a person from a serious and imminent risk.
Enquiry messages are kept as long as needed for the conversation and our wash records, then deleted or archived securely. A typical booking enquiry is useful for a few months. You may ask us to erase a marketing contact at any time, or to remove a photograph where you are the clear subject.
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we no longer need it, or ask for a copy in a common format. You may object to a use that is not required for a wash you asked to book. Write to [email protected] and tell us what you want us to do. We will reply within a reasonable time and we may ask for enough detail to find the right record. You may also complain to the Information Regulator if you are not satisfied with our response.
This website is written for adults who want to book a car wash or read care tips. We do not knowingly collect detailed data from young children through this site. If a parent writes on behalf of a household vehicle, we treat that message as the parent’s information plus the vehicle details needed to plan the wash.
We use reasonable steps to protect information, including restricted access to the wash desk mailbox. No website is perfectly secure. Please do not send passwords, full bank details, or sensitive identity documents through a public form.
